Key Updates:

  • Improved Subscription Handling for Businesses (GKF-1518)
    • Business subscriptions now remain active until the end of the billing month, even if canceled mid-month. If a new subscription is purchased within the same month, additional minutes are credited immediately, and the billing cycle resets to the new purchase date.
  • Refunds for Unsuccessful Project Work (GKF-1517)
    • We’ve introduced a new process for project jobs. If a technician determines that a project was not completed satisfactorily, both the customer and the technician can agree to issue a refund. In such cases, neither the technician nor Geeker will receive payment.
  • Project Scope Field on Negotiation (GEEK-1551)
    • New project scope field has been added for clearer negotiation during project conversions.

  • Updated Chat Section on Meeting Screen (GEEK-1561)
    • New chat messages have been added for better communication:
      • Customers: “Welcome to Geeker! Please use this chat to share any details, files, or links related to your task.”

      • Technicians: “Reminder: Keep all communications within the Geeker platform for security reasons. Avoid using personal emails, phone numbers, or external apps.”

Hotfixes:

  • No Charges for APEX & Business Employees (GEEK-1567)
    • A quick fix was applied to resolve issues with APEX and business employees notifications showing charges. Additional notifications related to project conversions will be addressed soon.
  • Terminology Update on Customer Side (GEEK-1557)
    • We’ve started updating terminology to enhance customer experience. The word “Tech” is now being replaced with “Geek” in most customer-facing communications (Part 1 of 2).
