How to grant Microphone and Camera access on a PC

Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Go to a site that wants to use your microphone and camera.

  3. When prompted, choose Allow or Block.

  4. Allowed sites: Sites can start to record when you’re on the site. If you’re using a different Chrome tab or a different app, a site can’t start recording.

  5. Blocked sites: Some sites won’t work if you block them. For example, you won’t be able to join a call.

  6. Click Camera or Microphone.

  7. Turn on or off Ask before accessing.

  8. Review your blocked and allowed sites.

  9. To remove an existing exception or permission: To the right of the site, click Delete.

  10. To allow a site that you already blocked: Under “Blocked,” select the site’s name and change the camera or microphone permission to “Allow.”

Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. At the top right, click Open Menu  Options.

  3. Under “Privacy & Security,” scroll down to the section Permissions.

  4. Click Camera or Microphone Settings.

  5. Review and verify that https://meeting.geeker.co/ is added to the Camera or Microphone Permissions.

  6. Review your blocked and allowed sites.

To allow a site that you already blocked: Under “Blocked,” select the site’s name and change the camera or microphone permission to “Allow.”

How to grant Microphone, Camera, and Share Screen on a Mac using Safari

To resolve the problem, go through the following sequence of steps:

  1. Hit ⌘-Space to bring up the Spotlight search bar, type in System Preferences then hit Enter

  2. Go to Security & Privacy

  3. Select ‘Privacy’ at the top

  4. In the scrollable box on the left, select Camera, Microphone, or Screen Recording

  5. Make sure Google Chrome is in the list, and that it has a checkmark next to it.
